Learn...Develop...Grow
Wherever you happen to be on the continuum of your education, we believe you won’t find a better place to prepare for your future and grow your career than Eli Lilly Canada.
MBA Internship Program
We partner with DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University to offer an MBA Internship Program to students whom we believe have the skills and character it takes to thrive in the Lilly culture. On occasion we partner with other leading Canadian business schools. Generally, we employ MBA Interns in Marketing, Finance, and Government and Economic Affairs. Through their active role in key business-critical projects, our MBA interns gain exposure to various areas of our business and to Lilly Canada's senior management team. In exchange for their expertise we offer our Interns ongoing developmental resources, coaching and mentoring, and the opportunity to work on cross-functional teams and projects that can impact lives throughout the world.

Industrial Pharmacy Residency Program
We provide select pharmacy graduates with valuable hands-on experience through the Eli Lilly Canada Industrial Pharmacy Residency Program, a one-year residency jointly administered with the University of Toronto’s Department of Pharmaceutical Studies. All licensed pharmacists available to work in Canada are eligible to apply for this program, which offers two streams of study: the Medical Information Residency Program and the Government and Economic Affairs Residency Program
Medical Information Residency
This residency provides a unique opportunity for pharmacists wishing to explore a career in the pharmaceutical industry. The Medical Information resident is expected to combine their scientific knowledge and communications expertise to deliver relevant medical information to key Lilly customers including health care professionals, government agency representatives and patients.
Working as a member of a therapeutic cross-functional team, the Medical Information resident has the opportunity to come to understand the inner workings of the pharmaceutical industry and to develop business skills to complement their scientific expertise.
Government and Economic Affairs Residency
This program allows the resident to focus their learning in the area of pharmacoeconomics, a discipline that involves the analysis of the costs and consequences of adopting one pharmaceutical medicine over other alternatives. Residents are provided the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and apply pharmacoeconomic methodologies, and issues related to market access for innovative pharmaceuticals.

This program runs from the beginning of May through August each year. Summer Students receive placements in various departments such as Information Technology, Public Relations and Communications, Statistics and Information Sciences, Research and Development, Human Resources and Marketing.
Candidates must be enrolled in full-time studies at a University and must be planning return to full-time undergraduate studies upon completion of the program.
